- Accuracy of Financial Aid Information – Verification Requests
Federal regulations require that all students applying for and receiving financial aid provide correct and accurate individual information. The Financial Aid Office is required to verify student information when it is requested to do so by the Department of Education. Financial aid can be denied or revoked if the information provided does not reflect a correct and accurate individual financial background. Students who have been selected for verification should recognize that their selection was done randomly and should work with the Financial Aid Office to secure needed information in a timely manner so that their financial aid will not be unnecessarily delayed.
